Four Ways to Let Frustration Work for You!
Have you ever thought that being frustrated about something could be an auspicious experience for you? Frustration means to be irritated, wildly annoyed because you want something to change. The characteristics of frustration include being at a standstill, blocked, or vexed when you want to accomplish a goal.
There are two ways people can view frustration. Some individuals view frustration as their barrier. They see frustration as their enemy and a sign that they should quit pursuing what they set out in their hearts to accomplish. Frustration sometimes can be a sign for people to quit something that is not going to work out in the end, which is still something to be celebrated and not despised.
On the other end, frustrated can be viewed as an invitation for people to grow and develop. When people adopt the mindset that all frustration is not meant to harm them, they will become more productive when frustration visits their lives.
Challenge yourself to see frustration as the breeding ground to develop something new inside and outside of you. Frustration can be a beautiful experience when you allow it to create an appetite for research, expand your creativity, develop inner-fortitude, and increase your capacity for success. You have the power to control how you can let frustration work for you!
Make Frustration an Auspicious Experience
Frustration Should Create an Appetite for Research.
Whenever you are upset about a system or you are angry with the status quo, it’s not enough for you to stay angry and do nothing. Lives do not change because you are merely upset and angry. You can help change the narrative by asking yourself what it is you need to know so that you can develop a solution. You do the internal research on what it is you already have inside of you that can help solve this problem. Frustration should lead you down a path of inquiry and investigation. Let frustration fuel you to read a book, study, or take a class. Frustration in your mind and heart should not distract you from pursuing the change you want to see in the world.
“Don’t Get Frustrated, Get Creative.”
One of my former teachers said when you are faced with frustration, you should look to become more creative. Frustration gives you the chance to stretch your thinking habits and how you perceive the world. So what, that one way did not work? Now, look inwardly, ask questions, and/or research how something can be accomplished in a different way. You will find that the more you ask questions (instead of sulk and give up), the more creativity will flow to your mind. Could it be that frustration came to show you how creative you really are? Could it be that frustration visited you so that you could discover a different pathway that has never been discovered?
Frustration Develops Inner-Fortitude/Resilience
There are times where you are going to be presented with an opportunity to abdicate your position of authority because of inner and external issues. Every person will get tempted to prematurely quit what they know they have been created to do because of seemingly outward opposition. Rising leaders need to experience navigating through frustration so that they learn that outward resistance is not a license to abdicate positions of authority. There are going to be many tribulations that will ensue as you walk in your leadership position. When you overcome frustration, and you do not allow frustration to worry you, you will never give up on the dreams that you have in your heart. Learning how to successfully handle frustration gives you the inner-fortitude you need to keep pressing forward to see your dreams manifest.
Frustration Increases Your Capacity to Carry Your Dreams.
Sometimes frustration is the starting point to stretch and mature you. Frustration sometimes speaks to you to let you know that you do not belong in certain spaces and places any longer. Some people would never feel compelled to do something differently if they did not first get frustrated to make the first move. You may have been too comfortable in certain places and frustration came, as a result, to get you out of your comfort zone. Frustration should compel you to grow. Your future demands that you do not stay stagnant in one area of your life. If you know that you have colossal dreams to turn the world upside down, then you have to have the mental bandwidth, inner fortitude, resilience, aptitude, and spiritual strength to carry the magnitude of your dreams. When you are frustrated about careers, friendships, and/or goals, it is an invitation to help you discover where you need to grow so that you can handle what is coming in the future.
There are so many leaders that get overwhelmed with frustration because they have not seen their dreams come to fruition. Many leaders that should be writing give up on their dreams because they need help with the next steps. What you may have thought was a sign for you to quit, could be the very thing that was designed to catapult you into a new stratosphere in your career, life, relationships, business, goals, and so forth.
