3 Ways Leaders Diminish Productivity and Impact
The enemy desires to slow down your level of productivity and impact. If you are not careful, you can partner with his plans by falling into certain pitfalls.
Here are three ways that you can diminish your productivity and impact as a leader.
Feeling the need to explain your calling to people. It is not your responsibility to have to convince people that you are called to lead. There are people that will doubt your leadership abilities because you are a woman. If you feel that you always have to explain yourself and your leadership gift to other people, you will start to second-guess yourself and the position that God has placed you in. Let your work and God speak for you.
Believing the complaints (NAYSAYERS) more than the commendation. Replaying and making the voices of naysayers louder than the ones that appreciate you can hinder your ability to produce. If you waste your time responding to everybody that is not fond of you, you will lose your ability to focus on the work that God has given you. There are more for you than there are against you! Do not allow the naysayers' voices to be louder than the people that need your help.
Giving up on yourself when your outward situation does not line up with where you are internally. If God tells you to stay somewhere, trust Him and stay planted. Sometimes your outward situation or rewards will not always immediately line up with your current state of mind or achievements. You can get frustrated with where you are when you have done the internal work and have certain degrees or certifications that prove you are eligible for expansion. There are times where God is waiting on others to be ready for you; therefore, do not leave because you did not get the position, money, affirmation, and/or reward that you thought was due to you. There is safety in being in the right season with God.
